Lee Ann Ince
Lee Ann Ince is a graduate of Broken Bow High School, Oklahoma. She graduated Summa Cum Laude earning a Bachelor of Arts from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. At 21, she began her teaching career in Callisburg, Texas where her Cross-examination debate team went to the UIL State finals placing 2nd overall.
Mrs. Ince is a five-diamond coach with the National Speech and Debate Association and in 2013 was inducted into the Texas Forensic Association Hall of Fame. She serves on the UIL Region IV Regional Advisory committee, was appointed as the Region 1 District Clerk for the UIL Congressional Debate contest, and also serves as an NSDA committee member for the Gulf Coast District. She recently become a certified One-Act Play Contest Manager.
Under her leadership, the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District (HCISD) has achieved remarkable success in several competitive arenas. For the first time, both Harlingen High School and Harlingen High School South advanced to the State Contest for two consecutive years, with Harlingen High School South earning a State Championship. In addition, both schools won the prestigious Samuel French Award in 2023 and 2024, marking a historic first in UIL One Act Play history. Recently, HCISD also achieved an unprecedented feat by winning four National Championships in National Speech & Debate.
Mrs. Ince currently serves as the Director of Performing Arts for HCISD where she oversees the Theatre, Dance, Speech, and Visual Art programs.
